Sarah Page's 1930s Dress
Primeval

This dress was worn by Laila Rouass as Sarah Page in the popular TV science fiction series Primeval in which prehistoric and futuristic creatures, as well as humans, travel through time by passing through anomalies in the space time continuum.
At this point in the series, Sarah Page is part of the team from the ARC (Anomaly Research Centre) that is charged with hunting down the anomalies and preventing anything from passing through and causing havoc in the modern world.
This costume appears in Series 3 Episode 6 titled For The Birds, that was first broadcast in May 2009. In the episode the team are hiding in a safe house to protect an artifact from the future being taken by a rival member of the civil service when they are attacked by Terror Birds that have come through an anomaly on the site.
The red dress was bespoke made for the character and is indicated as being 'stage 3 pre-bird explosion' on its accompanying wardrobe label, which indicates its exact use within the storyline.
Very few items from the series have ever been sold on the open market and so this is a rare opportunity to view an item from the show.
Laila Rouass was born in London in 1971 to Moroccan and Indian parents. She is best known for her role as Amber Gates in Footballers' Wives (2004-2006), Sahira Shah in Holby City and Sarah Page in Primeval.
She competed in the seventh series of BBC's Strictly Come Dancing, making it to the last four whilst being partnered by Anton Du Beke.
In 2003 whilst appearing in Hollyoaks, Rouass was nominated for Sexiest Female in the British Soap Awards and in 2012 whilst appearing in Holby City she was nominated for an award at the 17th National Television Awards.
